Donna Kerns Piano Praise

This is Donna's first Piano Solo project.  It is aptly entitled "Piano Praise".  We had some of the finest musicians help out on this project.  Brother Lance Carpenter played Rhythm Guitar and did a tremendous job.  Bro. Lance spent many years working as a Nashville musician and worked with many old time big name stars such as Hank Williams Sr, Patsy Cline, Tom T. Hall and many others.  Bro. Lance was also Gentleman Jim Reeves' personal secretary for many years.  In the early 70's Bro. Lance was saved and left Nashville and now resides in South Carolina with his wife Carol.  He now is in full time music ministry and travels all over the country singing and giving his testimony.

Brother Ricky Atkinson played the Bass Guitar and Strings on the project.  Bro. Ricky has sang with the Wilburns for the last several years but will be leaving in June to pursue a Solo career and concetrate on his song writing.  Bro. Ricky is one of the greatest new song writers to hit the Gospel Music scene in years.  His first recorded song "This Valley is for Me" recorded by the McKameys, went to the top 3 in the Singing News Charts.  His most recent song "Resting Place" went to Number 1.  We love Ricky and his family, Paula, Shelby and Keenan, and we wish them the best.

John Edmisten complimented the recording with the harmonica, and played some beautiful fills and even took the lead on some of the verses.  Brother John is one of the best kept secrets in Gospel music and one of the most talented musicians around.  He can, as they say "hang with the best of them!" I would have Brother John on a session before even considering any other harp player.  We appreciate John's faithfulness to help us out on this project and the many others he has assisted us on.
